On April 27, 2006, the term “school night” took on a whole new meaning at the School House Rocks event, benefiting Peace Games. Sponsors and guests mingled with nationally known celebrities, sports stars and special guests on the red carpet and inside the event. Guests noshed on food provided by the areas best restaurants and chefs – Via Matta, O’Sushi, Petit Robert, Clio, Union Bar and Grill, Eastern Standard, JP Licks, B & R Artisan Bread and Formaggio Kitchen. Martini bars stocked with Grey Goose flowed all night long, as our incredible house band, Akashic Record pumped up the crowd. Throughout the night, everyone was treated to performances by Lisa Loeb, Vance Gilbert, James Montgomery, Nuttin’ But Stringz, PM Dawn, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees and Brainz Davis. But the showstopper came at the end of the night when everyone jumped up on stage to join Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC for an unforgettable encore of “Walk This Way.” Thank you to our incredible sponsors and performers for a night no one in Boston will soon forget!
